Architectural Draftsman/ Design

Main Duties/ Responsibilities

Your role is to provide architectural and structural drafting for construction drawings in various CAD software packages (2D or 3D) for residential and commercial projects for customers in Australia and the USA.

This could include:

• Single Family Homes
• Multi storey developments
• Converting sketch designs to 3D models
• Shop Drawings for Fabrication
• Learning and understanding International Building codes

Skills & Experience

Formal Qualifications: Background, experience, or University qualifications in architecture, construction, engineering or estimating

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and smart;
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings;
• Strong working knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, 3D modelling, SketchUp, Inventor or other related programs;
• Ability to visualize structures and shapes based on construction plans and specifications
• Demonstrate a good attention to detail;
• Strong mathematical / numerical skills including trigonometry;
• Good working knowledge of Excel is required;
• Show strong initiative in problem solving;
• We communicate in English language with our customers. It is essential you are able to read and write in English – in particular to be able to read technical drawings in English;
• Spoken English is beneficial but not essential;
